Pediatric Physical Therapist

We have a part-time or contract opportunity for a Physical Therapist in Chandler, AZ. Clinic hours are M-F 7:30am-6:30pm and we offer flexibility with shift start/end times. Some evening and weekend hours may be required depending on client needs.
Responsibilities:
Evaluates and treats patients with sensory-motor and/or musculoskeletal disorders/delays, demonstrating knowledge of normal growth and skills necessary to provide age appropriate services, using exercise, heat water, electricity, massage, light, and ultrasound as prescribed by a physician
This may include recommendations for equipment to maximize performance
Maintains appropriate documentation
Organizes, develops, implements, and coordinates motor performance of patient care with other disciplines within the hospital and resources within the community, including discharge planning via charting, letters cares conferences, and rounds
This includes patient/family teaching for appropriate function within the home and implementation of home program
Uses pediatric based behavior management strategies and matches diagnostic/therapeutic interventions to age and disability of children
Establishes appropriate treatment plans with age-appropriate goals and target timeframes, which are discussed with family and mutually agreed upon
Builds and maintains rapport within the department, hospital, and community, professionally interacting with physicians, families, and hospital/community personnel
This includes preparation and participation in in-service training programs on regular basis
Qualifications:
MUST BE LICENSED AS A PHYSICAL THERAPIST IN THE STATE OF ARIZONA
Pediatric Physical Therapists/PTAs interested should have experience (1+ yrs.)
In working with pediatric clients in clinical setting, have an interest in providing sensory based treatment, be passionate about their work, self-driven, creative, resourceful, always looking to learn and LOVE to work with children and their families
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial!
This is an active job. You may have to lift and carry clients. You will be required to move with the client, which means you will be kneeling, squatting, standing, and sitting on the floor for extended periods of time. You will have to move quickly to ensure client's are safe.
